I wasn't planning on letting 7 weeks go by before knocking off Part II of "How to Succeed in Bookselling without Really Trying," but it's funny how some things push other things out of the way. In any case, I'm back in the saddle today, and if the first installment has long since faded from memory, a refresher is planted here.

Also, we're starting a new monthly column in this issue: BookThink's Best Book Scouting Tips. I'll do my best to keep it chugging along with my input (at least until the well runs dry), but I would much prefer to space things out and publish some of your tips as well. Anything related to purchasing inventory will work. If you'd like to contribute, write me at editor@bookthink.com
