We had much better luck getting the October 4 Gold Edition out on Monday, but there were still 7 emails bounced back for varying reasons. If you didn't receive your issue, please contact me, preferably with an alternate email address, and we'll get this worked out. Possible problems include: invalid syntax in the address you posted with your order, an aggressive spam filter, a full mailbox, etc. Also, if you ordered any individual back issues and didn't receive them within 24 hours, email me at editor@bookthink.com. With few exceptions (ahem, like hurricanes), all are sent out the following day at the latest.

Today, in our continuing series on Building a Bookselling Reference Library, I'm going to look at price guides. This will be a different approach than you've perhaps seen before because I don't use my guides for pricing. I use them for mining flashpoints. There's a step-by-step method to it, and I'll explain it in today's Update.
